"Don't let haters keep me off my grind. Keep my head up, I know I'll be fine.Keep fighting until i get there. When i'm down and I feel like giving up I think again."
Whip Your Hair - Willow Smith
It be half past two on a Saturday afternoon and I have exactly five hours to a party.
It's a late New Year's party, so to be a little fitting, I got a late Christmas present for the host.
If you know me or read this blog alot, you'll know that I love being different. When I do something from the bottom of my heart. I have this burning need to turn something that is ordinary into something extraordinary.
THE GIFT is wrapped in a small cardboard cylinder that is just as wide as that little fibre tube at the centre of your toilet roll. In fact, that's where i got it from.
It looked plain, so I wrapped it in recycle paper for a whiter look, but it still looked dull. That's when I added a ribbon
Ribbons are cute, but I suck at tying. Really. My knots suck. I can't even tie a balloon without seeking help from my teeth. Sad huh?
So I had to make it bigger. the ribbon was okay, but it looked like something that survived when a gift store collapsed.
Guess what I did?
Now if that isn't cute enough, I don't know what is.
Still, the ribbon gives me the creeps, and its only tied on and not glued or anything, so I'll need to package it to make sure it stays like that for as long as possible.
Cardboard box? Nah. I took so long to make it pretty> I don't want it to look plain.
Glass box? I'm butterfingers. Don't ask again.
What's transparent, light and cheap?
I think my answer lies deep in a small plastic bag in my second drawer from the left in my room.
What's gonna happen? Stay tuned to find out!
Love,
D.A.niel
