Flow From His Throne

“They laid him in a tomb it seemed that all hope was truly lost ut the third day came along and brought the rhythm of life.”
Celebrate (He Lives) - Fred Hammond

Easter is here. The celebration of happiness and joy to commemorate the day Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. His grave was empty and He ascended to be seated at the right hand of the father.

The church was packed today. So much that the outside area was filled with people. All we could hear during the Prayer of the Faithful were mumbles and groans along with the shuffling of chairs. People were getting up and leaving halfway while some arrived late.

I couldn’t hear the sermon, but throughout this particular Holy Week, Jesus has touched me once again. I cried during the communion hymn, Because He Lives, which was one of my favourites. That song is a sort of a ballad. It tells of resurrection, birth and death. Only when sung from start to finish, the true meaning of the song can be felt. Even thought the church band plays it like a jumpy praise song, I personally think it should be a slow song where everyone can come to a time of intense worship.

My mother is still waiting to kill me. I haven’t had a confrontation with her since yesterday. The stupid parent-teachers day had to fall on Holy Saturday. Heck, I didn’t even get a chance to practice my driving!

And so the day is gonna proceed in a solemn way. While the world is celebrating I’m cooped up here figuring out how to make a damn gigantic lunch so that I can skip dinner for Wyclef Jean and Fatboy Slim. Yep. That’s right. I’mma going for F1!

Another lil' advertlet
